On April 18, 2012, Mile-High RETAC presented an AED and plaque to Shadow Ridge Middle School on behalf of Barton Joule in memory of Meghan Joule.  “May it bring life to the hearts it touches”.  Mile-High RETAC donated this AED as a recognition to Shadow Ridge Middle School for being the first school to participate in the Student Medical and Responder Training (SMART) Program.  Students were taught skills related to Adult Child and Infant CPR, Chocking and AED’s. Meghan along with the entire Physical Education Department educated students.  Shadow Ridge Middle School is an Adams 12 Five Star school in the city of Thornton.
