On April 4, 2016, the Westminster Fire Department partnered with the Mile-High RETAC to provide a Heartsaver CPR training for District 50 teachers and staff. With the help of the Mile-High RETAC, the Westminster Fire Department successfully certified nineteen District 50 employees. The Mile-High RETAC provided all of the necessary training equipment, including 4 training AEDs, and 20 adult and pediatric mannequins. This CPR training was the first step in a pilot program, which is designed to help schools establish self-sufficient CPR instruction programs.
