AED Donations

Big Sandy Schools in Simla

August 12, 2016

Steve Wilson, Superintendent at Big Sandy Schools, contacted the MHRETAC regarding the need for another AED at their school in Simla.  Simla is located in Elbert county and is 48 miles northeast of Colorado Springs and 83 miles from Denver. Simla has a population of 618 people.  The town has an elementary school and a junior high school at the same location with a large gym and football field.  Sports in this small town are  huge community events.  The local fire department encouraged them to obtain a second  AED due to the location of the school and the distance to a hospital.  This AED will be available for all sports events throughout the year.
